Cassie Dandridge Selleck is the author of two works of Southern fiction, The Pecan Man published in 2012, and her newest novel What Matters in Mayhew, which is the first volume in her Beanie Bradsher series. Selleck holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College, and has lived her entire life in the South, from which she draws much inspiration. Her first novel The Pecan Man, is an Amazon best-seller and was selected for the State of Arkansas’ common reader program, whose prior selections include works by noted authors Rick Bragg, Sandra Cisneros, and Terry Kay. Translated into two foreign languages, the novel has also been produced for audio by Blackstone, where it was read by award-winning actress Suzanne Toren. Selleck lives in rural North Florida on the banks of the historic Suwannee River with her husband Perry and their “empty nest” puppy, Sugar.
