À propos de l?auteur
Ross MacLean was first produced at La Mama Hollywood, the West Coast branch of the New York company. He was the house playwright at Smitty's Deja Vu Coffeehouse in Hollywood for five years, and a member of Los Angeles Actor's Theater's Playwrights Unit. Regionally his plays have been produced at Denver's Changing Scene and at the Actor's Theater of Louisville. In New York he's worked with Theater for the New City, Ensemble Studio Theater, the 4th E Company, and Manhattan Theater Club. He lives in New York City.

MacLean was a driving force in Black Box alternative & gay theatre in Los Angeles in the 1970s-80s: a member of the playwright's workshop at Los Angeles Actors Theatre (LAAT) and the house playwright at the Deja Vu Coffeehouse. His work has been performed at La Mama, Hollywood, LAAT, Changing Scene in Denver, the Humana Festival at Actors Theatre of Louisville where his play "Hayaena" was a hit, and Theatre for the New City, NYC. Two of the plays included "Fourplay" and "Nelson Americana" were noted in Furtado & Hellner's "Gay and Lesbian American Plays: annotated bibliography" His humorous essay at the back of the book, "The Advent and Art of the One-Line Play" is alone well-worth the price of admission.
