Synopsis

This book is for everyone who has either faced the death of a loved one, a pet or has been frightened of their own impending end of life.

It was written to also assist all the hospice workers, nurses, physicians and healthcare workers faced the death of their patients, be better able to cope with their loss.

Hush Dear Soul, is the companion to my other book, "The Caretaker of All Souls, An Intimate Interview with Death".

My inspiration was of course, Death, whispering into my Soul, the words needed to provide the reader comfort, during a time of sadness.

Biographie de l'auteur

Cristina Carballo- Perelman, M.D., has been a neonatologist for almost 30 years. She and her female colleagues have experienced first-hand many of the misperceptions concerning the capability of women in the workplace. She has seen how society as a whole continues to devalue women both in their careers and at home by placing greater value in beauty over brains. She has also experienced the opposite at home, where her marriage to another physician, is rooted in respect and equality. Her passion to write derives from her experiences both as a woman in the workplace as well as being devalued as an employee (i.e. she, too, was fired!) She has also dealt with death and dying issues inherent in her practice and was compelled to express her thoughts concerning this topic. Her hope is that others find her words inspiring and more importantly, helpful, to deal with any or all of these issues, as presented. Presently, she lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband and two dogs. Her daughter has graduated from college and is currently enrolled in a Masters program in Nursing.

This is a companion book to The Caretaker of All Souls, An Intimate Interview with Death. The author hopes, through her rhyme, to change how Death is viewed. Instead of being feared and seen as a dark force, Death is portrayed as light and love, bringing each Soul to the Higher Source for learning and repair. This book is meant to be read to someone who is dying and can even be sung to the tune Hush Little One, Don't You Cry.
