This book was named after one of Andrea’s dogs, Buckaroo. Andrea and her husband Michael reside in Delaware, They are avid animal lovers and have two other dogs named Cosmo and Patton. Her fondest childhood memories were spent at the Delaware beaches with her grandparents, parents, and cousins. Rachael is named after her grandmother. The illustrator of this book and Andrea are cousins and spent many summers together as children at the beach. This is her first book.
