Jay Welsby didn’t always believe he’d be a good writer. But one day God said, “Do the best you can with what I’ve giving you.” And he did. After winning a writing contest and writing a few short stories, Jay stopped fearing his God-given gift, relentlessly pursued his writing career in spite of his flaws. Knowing he’d need to leave the comforts of his native Miami, he selected Atlanta to be his new home so he could learn and grow in his gift. His reasoning: “I believe it’s better to write in a situation that isolates you from every distraction possible.” Since the move, Jay has experienced many challenges and obstacles, but choses to focus on the many opportunities and blessings that have come.
