Synopsis

The crash was no accident. The bodies are piling up. And the Air Force wants the truth buried.

Vietnam veteran turned wildlife ranger Nick Drake is finally finding a fragile peace in the high desert of Eastern Oregon. But that peace is shattered when a fighter jet plummets from the sky. What looks like a tragic accident quickly turns into something far more sinister.

When the pilot's body becomes the first in a string of mysterious deaths, Nick finds himself locked in a deadly showdown with an iron-fisted Air Force base commander determined to bury the truth. Outmaneuvered by military brass and hunting an invisible predator, Nick must turn away from modern tactics and look to the ancient traditions of his Paiute neighbors to track the killer.

In an unforgiving territory where the terrain judges, Nick will have to weaponize his deadliest combat instincts once again—because in the High Lonesome, justice isn't granted. It's fought for.
