Synopsis

When a stranger shows up on her doorstep bearing a jar lined with her blood, for 591-year-old vampire Vivian, it’s just another night. But when a note from that stranger reveals a message from herself from the past, everything Vivian knows about herself and her world is thrown into disarray. To get to 1897, she must call on her best friend and progeny for help. And why was she called to go back in time? She knows she will finally locate her maker and maybe begin to grasp the origins of her abilities. But she soon uncovers another purpose, stopping a sinister plan to create a ruling class of mages. And to do so, everything she values, and the universe itself, will be put at risk.
