It's the culture-changing summer of 1968. Upheaval is nationwide with protests and assassinations. Yet, in her hometown, a small Southern haven, desegregation is about to begin. Witness it and live it through the eyes of a seven-year-old girl nicknamed Shadow on the cusp of changing history with the rest of the world. Is she Black, colored, or Negro? Join this little girl as she learns that nothing can't be faced without family and friends. And with them as her guides, she can reach heights greater than her family could ever imagine, no matter what color she is. The Summer Tales of Shadow will melt your heart, capturing the soul and atmosphere of hope for the future while learning lessons from the journeys of the past.
