Diagnosed with a heart condition at a young age and being dependent on a service dog has cultivated in Bunny Young an emphasis on inclusion and sensitivity for all populations. With a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology with a concentration in Equine Assisted Mental Health from Prescott College, Young has experience working with crisis response teams, first responders, trauma, depression, addiction, as well as criminal offenders. She currently co-facilitates an equine program for inpatient addiction and has developed programs for use of equines to assist persons with eating disorders, PTSD, counseling, medicine, business and cancer survivors. Young’s consulting company, A Better Place Consulting, empowers and educates businesses and organizations about the power of creating a positive work environment for employee and client retention. She teaches cultural sensitivity to law enforcement and correctional officers, volunteers with Dreamcatcher's Therapeutic Riding, the Alzheimer’s Association, March of Dimes and served as the Chair of Louisa Lead Share. Young is also an active member of TRIAD, is on the Extraordinary Women's Exchange Committee, and is a Member of the Hanover Council on Aging. A national speaker, certified yoga instructor, and equine specialist who is competent in American Sign Language, Bunny Young is a powerhouse coach.
