Synopsis

The novel is best categorized as a 'Southern Memoir'. Though loosely based on a few real events following the devastating 1973 tornado in Jonesboro AR, it is mostly made up of exaggerations, fabrications, embellishments and outright lies. None of this is to be believed.

William Garner was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Senatobia, Mississippi, Hernando, Mississippi, and Jonesboro, Arkansas. After having been asked to leave Arkansas State University, he eventually became a graduate of The University of Mississippi where he enjoyed skydiving, hunting, fishing, water skiing, scuba diving, music, liquor, raw oysters, boiled shrimp, football, women and occasionally attended class.Following a thirty year career in Information Technology, during which he became a recognized authority on Unix Systems Administration, he has become a semi-retired nuisance. In addition to being the Pit Boss on his award winning competition barbecue team and writing novels, he has become a PADI Scuba diving instructor.He is the father of two daughters and one son. His grandsons actually are Chaos and Mayhem.He and his long suffering wife, Landi, now live in their new home in a small Florida gulf coast community. They are enjoying the good life.
