This project was to determine an improved methodology for the Safety staff to evaluate Facilities Management Trades Specialists in their application of safety training and proper uses of equipment provided. This project focused on just one safety course, Lockout-Tagout (LaTa), because of its potential to prevent severe injury, its widespread requirement in maintenance work processes, and suspicion that proper procedures and equipment were not being used to the fullest potential.
