Charla M. Burnett is an International Data Scientist at Michigan State University. With a strong background in international development, Charla focuses on human security, gender development, and participatory mapping. Her interdisciplinary research draws from various fields, including geography, political science, and international relations. She works alongside local communities in the United States, Antigua, Barbuda, Liberia, Colombia, and Palestine developing participatory mapping tools to assist migrants, internally displaced, and indigenous populations. She is the editor of the book Evaluating Participatory Mapping Software, published in 2023.

Biswajeet Pradhan is Distinguished Professor at the University of Technology Sydney, where he leads innovative research in disaster risk reduction, environmental modeling, and urban planning. He is a distinguished expert in geospatial science, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence, with over 25 years of academic and research experience. Prof. Pradhan has authored over 750 peer-reviewed articles and several books, making significant contributions to the field.
