This book explores the multifaceted role of algae in addressing sustainable development, circular economy practices, and climate change mitigation issues. The integration of flue gas for algal biofuel production and its contribution to sustainable energy solutions is included along with role of algae-based biofertilizers in reduction of carbon footprints.
Other topics discussed include algae for biomass production and carbon sequestration, algae-based carbon credits, production of bioplastics for climate-resilient packaging and their integration into waste management.
