This book explores the intersections between communication and transnationalism from interdisciplinary and multimethodological perspectives.

Transnationalism is a contested space where differences among people, knowledge, materials, trades, and capitals are configured within and beyond national borders. Shinsuke Eguchi is Professor in the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Wake Forest University, USA. Their recent publications include The Routledge Handbook of Ethnicity and Race in Communication (Routledge, 2024) and Intercultural Communication in Japan (Routledge, 2017).

Jungmin Kwon is Professor in the School of Film at Portland State University, USA.
