À propos de l?auteur

Dr. K. Sripriyan is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the School of Artificial Intelligence at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus. He has 17 years of teaching and research experience, which includes academic positions at VIT and PSG College of Technology. He completed his Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from AC Government College of Engineering and Technology, and his Ph.D. in Welding Technology from Anna University, Chennai. Dr. Sripriyan has published 35 peer-reviewed papers in international and national journals and conferences. He is the inventor of four Indian granted patents, reflecting his active contributions to applied research and innovation. His research interests span Additive Manufacturing, Moving Heat Source Modeling, and Machine Learning. He has successfully completed two funded research projects sponsored by the ANRF and the Office of PSA, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Dr. Sripriyan is a lifetime member of the Institution of Engineers (IE) and has served as editor for several academic books.

J. Paulo Davim, a highly accomplished full Professor at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, holds a Ph.D. and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in manufacturing, materials, and industrial engineering, with a focus on machining, tribology, and surface engineering. He has received prestigious awards such as the 2023 Contribution Award from the Korean Society for Precision Engineering and the 2022 Outstanding Reviewer Award from ASM International, USA. Recognized as one of the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University, his influence expands beyond academia, with honorary professorships in China, India, and Spain and roles as an evaluator for prestigious bodies like the ERC-European Research Council.
