For young writer Sigrid, bliss is hanging out with her older sister and their two cats. In this verse, it is one Friday afternoon that 8-year-old Sigrid observes teatime at her busy local café, watching close friendships and listening to their planning for the week ahead. Discussion with Sigrid was there are many types of relationships, but female friendships are particularly special like the women in this cafe. Ones where laughter, learning and consoling together, planning and commiserating are bonds to nurture and treasure, helping us to feel better and carrying us through the journey of life, no matter what comes, inspired her to write this poem.
