In Silent Reflections of a Fragile Heart, Amy Roullier presents her debut poetry and prose collection, that explores the complexities of love, relationships (the good and the toxic), heartbreak, and the journey of self-discovery.
Amy delves into the raw emotions of a heart that aches for love and wrestles with longing. With each poem, Amy reminds readers they are not alone in their pain and gently empowers them to rediscover self-love. She takes you on a path woven with intimate truths, that feels both uniquely hers, yet undeniably relatable.
This is for the ones who loved, lost, and rose from the rubble with a new understanding of themselves.
"I wish I didn't think of you
at 3 a.m
when sleep should claim me,
or at 10 a.m.
when work calls for focus,
at 6 p.m.
when friends seek my thoughts,
or at 10 p.m.
when my mind should be relaxing.
But I'm too excited to sleep through the nights,
too consumed by the hopefulness of us
to enjoy anything else about the days.
I long for other things
to occupy my mind,
but it seems you've already etched yourself
into the quietest corners,
a constant pull I can't escape.
So I'll think of you,
until there's nothing left of me."
