Synopsis

Dan had a rough upbringing and continues to lie, steal, and cheat in adulthood, even when married to Sue, a pastor's daughter. Sue, who married Dan out of loneliness, now finds herself at his mercy, lonely as ever. When her friend, Stephanie, arrives with her young child in need of shelter, Dan's addiction to indulging in pornography nearly pushes him over the edge.

Through God, Stephanie has found her path forward after she was raped. Sue assists Stephanie and her daughter, Angel, in adjusting to their life in this new town, and Stephanie eventually finds meaningful work at the parish. However, another young man named Steve is to begin working there too. After nearly ending his own life, he became born again. But upon seeing Stephanie again, he struggles with reconciling a dark moment of his history with his new path in the Light.

The Covering follows four people and their journeys into the Light, showing that through God, redemption for all things is possible.
