CHEYENNE - Six strangers climb aboard a Wells Fargo stagecoach., none of them realize they are riding straight into danger.Caroline Wells has crossed half the frontier in a frantic search for her missing brother before time runs out. Mary Beth Smith is escaping a life of fear, fleeing the brutal husband who has made every day a struggle for survival. Dick Taggart, a legendary gambler whose deadly reputation has followed him from one saloon to the next, knows his own time is running short and longs for one final opportunity to make peace with his past. Captain Bill Farnum has only one duty: deliver the Apache prisoner Santoro to Cheyenne to face justice. But Santoro claims he is innocent, and somewhere on the windswept frontier, a man named Kyle Warner rides hard, determined to prove Santoro's innocence before an unjust sentence can be carried out.Between Fort Laramie and Cheyenne lie outlaw ambushes, Sioux war parties, stolen gold, murder and betrayal. The passengers soon discover that the greatest threats are not always waiting outside the coach. Suspicion, betrayal and long-buried secrets threaten to tear them apart long before they reach their destination. As the stage rattles across the untamed Wyoming Territory, unlikely alliances are forged and deadly enemies close in. When a bloodthirsty mob demands Santoro's life and ruthless killers begin hunting those who helped him escape, the battle for survival becomes a desperate race across the frontier.
