Synopsis

Robert Frost's famous poem which starts "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood" highlights the challenge of being on one path but wondering what's on the other path. For many single Christians, the attraction of the married life is so strong, that it can prevent them appreciating the joys of the single life. In this book, Tim Herbert looks at: · why church and society prioritise marriage while not knowing how to embrace and support singles· having a healthy theology of singleness· developing strategies for living a fulfilling single life· finding ways of dealing with difficult life situations· the special challenges facing the widowed and divorced as they find themselves single again · seeing our growth in personal discipleship as key to solving the 'problem' of singleness
