FINALIST IN THE WISHING SHELF BOOK AWARDS When Dylan Edwards is given a magic amulet and a journal for his birthday, his ordinary life is transformed into a dangerous mission to rescue his relatives in another realm. Each day, Dylan attends school and lives the normal life of an eighth-grade student, but at night, when he drifts off to sleep, his amulet transports him to the kingdom of Calinore, where his quest awaits him. There, he befriends a kind-hearted baker, an old witch with failing powers, a sparrow who works as a spy, and the pet dragon of a former prince. He also encounters a group of mice whose hidden identities force him to take immediate action on their behalf. Join Dylan and his newfound companions as they embark upon a perilous journey filled with deadly obstacles and unexpected challenges that threaten their survival at every turn.

During her career as a teacher, Theresa used her spare time on weekends and holidays to craft her debut series.

Theresa lives in Guelph, Ontario with her family and enjoys gardening, nature walks, and spending her summers on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron.
