Markus Anton Weber brings more than three decades of experiencein national defense and security, with the majority of his career spentwithin the Global Special Operations community. Over the courseof his service, Markus accumulated extensive interagency, multinational, and combat experience across diverse environments, within tactical to strategic levels of operation. He served with theCanadian Infantry and the Canadian Special Operations Command(CANSOFCOM), which included participating in missionsthroughout the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean, and the Asia-Pacific.Markus' operational experience includes public safety andsecurity efforts under United Nations Chapter VII mandates, as wellas various non-combatant evacuation, counterinsurgency, domesticand international counterterrorism, and unconventional warfareoperations. His work has focused on crisis management, operationalreadiness, security program development, training design anddelivery, and the leadership of teams tasked with planning andexecuting complex missions.During the final phase of his military career, Markusparticipated in an exchange program with United States SpecialOperations Command (USSOCOM). During this time, hedeveloped comprehensive operational recommendations concerningthe national Counter-Violent Extremism Strategy that were briefedthrough the U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to the highestlevels of national defense leadership, including the U.S. Secretary ofWar (Defense). Recently, Markus retired from active duty and is now focusedon uplifting others through ongoing mentorship, authorship, andinstruction. Currently, he serves as the CEO of 242 Group Inc, apremier global security services provider. Additionally, he serves as asyndicate leader and mentor for corporate leadership retreats, as wellas faculty at the United States Special Operations University andNATO Special Operations University. Within this capacity, hecontributes primarily to the Special Operations ComponentCommand Planning Course. Here, his work bridges the gap betweenstrategic defense policy and real-world execution.
