Synopsis

'May you live in interesting times.'

It's 2020. As the world locks down and fear spreads faster than the virus, a small British town becomes a crucible for suspicion, solitude and unexpected connection. Emerson and Kirsten work at a local supermarket. Emerson doesn't trust the government, or the official narrative. Kirsten isn't sure what to believe and fears Emerson's view of a dystopian future may be right. Their manager, Mandeep, struggles to hold together her family and misses her husband who's stranded in India.

Elderly Margaret, resents being labelled vulnerable, while Nabil, a young refugee, clings to memories and the solace of home.

When the pandemic hits, each must navigate a world that suddenly feels unfamiliar. Guarded glances, face masks and invisible lines. But even in isolation, lives collide and love finds a way.

Love In The Time of Covid is a moving and sharply observed portrait of a nation in crisis, told through intersecting lives shaped by uncertainty, resilience and quiet acts of hope.
