'The face before you' is a one of a kind human and emotional document from Gaza a genocide seen from within. The poetry in The face before you by Mohammed Moussa is about survival, written in loss and grief. This collection confronts the weight of generational trauma, the fragility of memory, and the indelible scars of genocide. Moussa refuses to let Gaza's voice fade or be obliterated. *the face before you, marred with blood and unseen wounds, bears the scars of hope and peace that the world pledged to me. It's the visage of a childhood lost beneath the rubble, alongside my family and the city that I can no longer see.*
