Edwina Jones, a fluent Welsh-speaker, was born on Ynys Môn (Anglesey) and, despite having travelled widely, she has never found anywhere else she would prefer to be.

She started work for the local authority where she met her husband and eventually she spent many years working in a school office. They have two children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edwina was on the team that organised the first writing festival in Anglesey and has had several pieces of work published in anthologies by local writers.

When she was a primary school pupil she remembers being so engrossed in writing her essays that she was oblivious to play-time. Mrs Crawford, her teacher at the time, asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up. She replied that she wanted to write a book and her teacher told her that she would one day. Well Mrs Crawford, she did!
