Synopsis

A tyrannical king. A quest for redemption. A battle against an ancient evil. Nefir never asked for this life.
Guilt-ridden and traumatized by all he has seen and done; he makes the difficult decision to desert the army of the king he despises. His plan is simple: escape to Folds, find a ship and work passage to the desert lands to the east, assume a quiet life, and eke out his remaining days in anonymity.
Jarok, the god of fire and justice, has other plans for him, and his defection sets him on a path that will thrust him into an epic struggle for the fate of the world of Shilan itself, and see Nefir redeemed for his crimes.
The Attoral, a race that withdrew from the world of man, brings dire warnings of a resurgent, primordial evil that has aligned itself with Nefir's former king. Once again, the demon lord Nerlok, has his eyes on the domination of their world.
Only by embracing his role as one of four of the gods’ Aspects, and finding the strength and will to succeed, can he hope to defeat the king and banish the ancient evil from Shilan forever.
