Synopsis

Green Troop: Poisoned River

In this coming-of-age story, 17-year-old Jason Elliot is thrust into a demanding role he wasn’t ready for when the Green Troop's adult leader goes on vacation.
Green Troop is an international organization that was formed to educate students about environmental issues.
Jason’s good intentions of sticking to safe activities for the troop go out the window when a member of a junior troop, out on a nature hike, is struck by a vehicle driven by a chemical plant security guard. Together with three other troop members, they gather evidence of an illegal plot to dispose of toxic chemicals into a river. He must summon all his courage to lead the troop to resist threats from plant security guards and their biker allies, as they attempt to stop these nefarious actors.

Along the way, he also finds the courage to express his feelings to Sandi, a troop member.
