The book explains the individual history of twenty-four mileposts in Hitler’s rise. It begins with him as an unknown, a nobody, attending his first meeting of the German Workers’ Party. It culminates nineteen years later with the horror of Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass) in November 1938 with Hitler as F�hrer of all Germany and Austria. As we follow the history, we also follow our friends lives as they react to it and live it.
