Synopsis
In the not-so-far-off future the Earth is dying. Scientist and engineers are implementing a bold plan to move the Earth away from the sun to compensate for global warming and buy it centuries of additional life. Five children, distrustful of government, alone and orphaned, decide to continue living independently outside the system and watch as the preparations are made to launch the Earth away from the sun. Once the nerve-racking launch finally ends, they venture back into town, only to discover something is wrong. The small group must now find out what happened during the launch and in its aftermath. Most importantly they must find out why they are now alone.
