Synopsis

An autobiography by Rita McKnight Hudson. Hudson grew up in Wynne, Arkansas where her father was the sheriff of Cross County. After her father's tragic early death, her mother became the sherriff. Rememberances of family, school, friends highlight her days in Wynne, Arkansas. She then married, had two children and moved to Birmingham, Alabama where her husband died at 48 and Rita was thrown into a challenging time while trying to settle the estate. Her story continues with life in Birmingham, her adult children, her second marriage and keeping up with her children and grandchildren.
