Synopsis
Jeff Glover is far from happy to learn he cannot accompany his mother and adopted brother to Japan. He has to stay in New York with his dad who is consulting a newly discovered collection of material for his latest book. Almost at once, Jeff feels he is being watched. He is right, the superintendent’s daughter is preparing for a career in the FBI. Sam isn’t her real name, so foreign agents can’t recognize her. Taking a reluctant Jeff as her partner, she leads him into a series of adventures. And, as Jeff says, “If I’d known what was going to happen, I would have got right back in that cab and gone home to Michigan.”
