The Difference is waiting… lurking behind our thoughts… waiting to enter our lives and change how we see the world. It is there for those who choose to perceive it, but the confusion of life is blocking it. Few in the world of reality have dared to recognize it… and when they do… it is only for a moment. When the Difference is embraced and internalized… it can change the world. It is a conscious energy moving beyond our realm of existence. But a window has been opened and the Difference has entered our reality. It moves toward the earth. A school shooting at JFK High shakes the lives of Karma Delany. Pam Bergstrom, Tom Hicks, and Grayson Harding and will alter their view of life As the Difference moves closer, the band known as The Quantum Melody Machine prepare for a benefit at the high school. Nylah, the girl who arrived from the Cosmic Core of existence, can sense the Difference in the air. The repercussions of the shooting amplify the effect of the Difference on the band and the four students deeply involved in the turbulent aftermath.
