Synopsis
The talk of secession from the Union was thick in the air, and what would follow would become the ultimate test of Cale's young soul. Would he succumb to the darkness that consumed a nation, or could he possibly rise above the degradation? Some years prior his family had moved from the wild New Mexico territory to northwest Georgia, near Ringgold to start a farm. This quickly became more than they could handle, but fortunately Cale's Pa was wise, and took on some help for the tasks. One of their new employees was someone who offered to teach seemingly magical, and mysterious methods of fighting which had the potential to provide for Cale's survival through the utmost dangers looming ahead.
