Synopsis

This was the first manuscript I had ever written and when I began to compose it in 1986, I intended to just emphasize the injustice to Blacks and the Black racism I experienced in Vietnam. Because I was still dealing with the war within me, I buried this manuscript. But in 1995, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. Soon after, I realized that the only reason I am here today is because God was with me, thus I had to share my inward war.
This is a story of a naive young Black man from Norfolk Virginia who found himself fighting both an seen and unseen enemy in Vietnam. As one reads his experience, I truly believe that the situations that he encounters will touch the reader in such a way that their very lives will be altered to the point that they will have to share 'The War Within The War' with someone else. It is my sincere desire and belief that whatever war one is still dealing with spiritually or mentally, he or she will find the peace of God that only the Prince of Jesus Christ can give.
