Synopsis

Poetry comes to us in many forms, with distinctive styles. In this collection of sixty seven poems, there are classical styles, doggerel elements, mimetic inspirations and performative works, all meshed into the telling of stories of the heart and imagination. Covering twenty years of experience, this book seeks to paint the human condition and its broad contours, in many textures and tones, with a range of brush strokes. And introduction and postscript, reflect on my personal journey, pertinent to why humans do poetry and why it is important in several ways, as an expression of experience. It is offered up to you for both inspiration and edification. It seeks to create a 'world' beyond this one - one that we might all dare to believe in, as our current world dances on a knife edge, with its contemporary challenges. Even if offering only temporary respite, the aim is (at least BRIEFLY) to offer a loftier vision.
