Synopsis

It is A.D 60. Rome is not the centre of the world any longer.Three sections are presented, all thirty years after Pentecost. These are back stories of people who have been involved on the day of Pentecost and recall their involvement as they move out of the Upper Room where they have been waiting for arrest. 1.An assistant to Luke in the writing of the second book for Theophilus, (which is called Acts of the Apostles) and two Hecklers from the crowd; 2.One of the Women from the Upper Room;3.Two former servants who travelled with Cleopas on the road to Emmaus and who had returned to Jerusalem. Each section sees a change in the characters and their goals and life-work.These back stories are resources for performance, or reading in community groups, and the time is the build-up to Pentecost when Jerusalem was full of thousands of people for a celebration of early harvest.
