I wrote this for the private commercial and multifamily investor who is looking for an edge over the bigger investment groups. In it, I go into many general ideas that most investors don't think think about in a very easy to understand way. This book does assume that you know basic real estate terms, but also provides a glossary in the appendix section of the book. That said, private investors can use this book as a guide to purchase your first commercial or multifamily property. This is not for the saavy investor, nor is this book for the absolute beginner. You will get a lot out of this book if you own one or two properties and are looking to maximize the value you're NOT getting or need a better understanding of how lending institutions look at your investment.
