This research aims to contribute to historical knowledge about the period before the Ghana Empire, called Wagadu. The sources are oral, although some information comes from manuscripts kept by the few traditionalists. Migration is a source of culture, organization system and ethnic mixing. The most important are Berbers, Jews, Métis, Fulani and Blacks. Before the founding of the city of Kumbi and the kingdom of Wagadu, population movements contributed to the formation of three major cities: Umy, Néma and Dia. Three types of political parties have emerged in West Africa. These are the leagues formed by black tribes south of the Niger River; confederations established by Berbers and black peoples; and black-berber kingdoms. The kingdom of Wagadu, inspired by these political formations, would later be formed on these territories.
