Synopsis

""A Brief History of Christ's Hospital: From Its Foundation by King Edward the Sixth"" is a historical book written by John Iliff Wilson in 1842. The book provides a comprehensive account of the establishment and development of Christ's Hospital, an English charity school founded in the 16th century by King Edward VI. The author traces the origins of the school, its early years, and the various challenges it faced in its early years. The book also explores the significant role played by the school in the education of the poor and underprivileged children of London, and its impact on the social and economic development of the city. The author describes the daily life of the students, the curriculum, and the various traditions and customs that have been a part of the school's history.
