Synopsis

In the year 2019 50 years to the second that man first walked on the Moon the Earth inexplicitly begins a lunar transformation. The plume of lunar dust rolled across the earth silently. It swept over towns and cities alike searching and probing for any entry point. It settled on everything, squeezing and slipping between the smallest of cracks. Miniscule geological wedges that pried apart the world we knew. The Dust pervaded our place in space and time. Our great spaceship was changing, reprogramming, and instigating a reevaluation of priorities for humankind. The Dust deadened the echoes that were bouncing between the canyon walls, giving pause to reset our senses to be better equipped to understand our relationship with technology. The Moon Dust was the harbinger of the Lunafication. Follow the survivors as they navigate the Lunafication in this short story based on the series of screen prints and lithographs, by Benjamin Ilka, Lunafication.
