She is author of more than ten books, dozens of articles on topics in second language learning and assessment, and Editor-in-Chief of the ten-volume Encyclopedia of Applied Linguistics. She is recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in Language Testing and the American Association for Applied Linguistics Distinguished Service and Scholarship Award.
