Synopsis

The Last Feast of the Fianna is a dramatic legend written by Alice Milligan and first published in 1900. The story is set in ancient Ireland and tells the tale of the Fianna, a group of warriors led by the legendary Fionn Mac Cumhail. The Fianna are preparing for their last feast, as they know that their time as protectors of Ireland is coming to an end. As they gather to celebrate their past victories and mourn their impending demise, they are visited by a mysterious stranger who challenges them to a game of riddles. The stranger's true identity is slowly revealed, and the Fianna are forced to confront their own mortality and the consequences of their actions. The Last Feast of the Fianna is a powerful and emotional exploration of Irish mythology, tradition, and history, and a must-read for anyone interested in Celtic folklore and legends. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
