À propos des auteurs

Edward S. Ebert II has worked in education for 33 years. He taught with the Texas City Independent School District for eight years. Since earning his doctorate in Philosophical and Psychological Foundations of Education, he has worked extensively with college students and classroom teachers on the study of creative thinking as it applies to cognitive processing and its application to the classroom setting. He is the author of The Cognitive Spiral: Creative Thinking and Cognitive Processing, an original model of thought processing, as well as a dozen books ranging from textbooks in introduction to education and science education to teacher resource books to an examination of the institution of education. Dr. Ebert has lectured around the world and spent also spent a semester teaching science education and educational psychology at Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai, P.R. China. He and his wife, Dr. Christine Ebert, collaborate on projects involving science education and creative thinking and now reside in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.

Richard Culyer has received certification in nine areas, ranging from exceptional education to secondary social studies as well as supervisor and as a K-12 principal. He has taught at the elementary and the middle school levels and served as Assistant Director of Right to Read for the Florida State Department of Education. He has also taught at Appalachian State University and most recently was professor of education at Coker College. His publications include co-authoring a book entitled Preventing Reading Failure: Translating Theory Into Practice. A research-based reading program he co-developed with his wife has been recognized as one of 19 effective reading programs in What Works In The Elementary School. In addition, he has published articles in a wide range of education journals. Dr. Culyer is listed in Who's Who in America and serves as reviewer for two national publications. He has served on six committees of the International Reading Association and also served on six editorial review boards for national organizations and was a founder, president, and state coordinator of the North Carolina Reading Association. His professional interests include studying research as it relates to classroom instruction, vocabulary and comprehension development, and school-wide curriculum and instruction reform.
