The Desert Flower is an opera written by A. Harris and first published in 1863. The story is set in the desert and follows the love triangle between a Bedouin chief named Selim, his wife Zorah, and a European traveler named Harold. Selim is torn between his love for Zorah and his duty to his tribe, while Harold falls in love with Zorah and tries to convince her to leave Selim and run away with him. The opera is divided into three acts and features a variety of musical styles, including arias, duets, and choruses. The Desert Flower was popular in its time and is still occasionally performed today.
