Synopsis

""Three Fundamental Principles of the Spiritual Life"" is a book written by Moritz Meschler, a Christian philosopher and theologian. The book explores three key principles that are essential for living a spiritual life: faith, love, and hope. Meschler argues that these principles are not only important for personal growth and fulfillment, but also for building a better world. The first principle, faith, is about trusting in a higher power and having a sense of purpose and meaning in life. Meschler discusses the importance of faith in overcoming challenges and finding inner peace. The second principle, love, is about showing compassion and kindness to others. Meschler emphasizes the need for love in building strong relationships and creating a sense of community. The third principle, hope, is about looking towards the future with optimism and confidence. Meschler argues that hope is essential for overcoming adversity and achieving personal and societal goals.Throughout the book, Meschler draws on a range of philosophical and theological sources to support his arguments. He also provides practical advice and exercises for readers to incorporate these principles into their daily lives.Overall, ""Three Fundamental Principles of the Spiritual Life"" is a thought-provoking and inspiring book that offers valuable insights into the nature of spirituality and how it can enrich our lives. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Présentation de l'éditeur

Persian prince was a great friend to learning. From all directions he gathered together learned writings for his library, and wherever he went his books had to accompany him. They, however, became after a time no small burden. He then commissioned some learned men to abridge the wisdom of the accumulated books into a number of volumes that could be conveniently carried on a camel. But as he found even this too laborious an undertaking after a time, the various books were further epitomized into one book, and finally this single volume into a single rule of life which the prince could carry everjnvhere without any trouble. And so all was easier and better. That is the thought which underlies these pages. There are countless and voluminous books on the spiritual life.
