Synopsis

""We Who Are About To Die: Prison As Seen By A Condemned Man"" is a non-fiction book written by David Lamson. The book is a personal account of Lamson's experience as a prisoner on death row, detailing his thoughts and emotions as he awaited his execution. Lamson was convicted of murdering his wife in 1933 and spent six years in San Quentin State Prison before his sentence was commuted to life in prison. In his book, Lamson explores the harsh realities of prison life, including the violence, isolation, and mental strain that inmates face. He also delves into the flawed justice system that led to his conviction and the impact that his imprisonment had on his family and loved ones. ""We Who Are About To Die"" provides a unique perspective on the American prison system and the death penalty, offering insight into the experiences of those who are often forgotten and marginalized by society. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
