Synopsis
Lessing's Emilia Galotti is a play written by German author Gotthold Ephraim Lessing in 1895. The play is set in Italy and tells the tragic story of Emilia Galotti, a virtuous and noble woman who is pursued by the powerful and lustful Prince of Guastalla. Despite her resistance, Emilia is eventually forced to marry the Prince, leading to a series of events that ultimately result in her death.
