No, this is the rare first edition itself, published by the Maine Department of Forestry in 1917; 174 p., unmarked and clean except for faint smudge on p. 174 and other smudges on paste-downs and end pages; drawings, wonderful sepia photos, and period ads; fold-out map on fine paper, without creases or tears; back gutter cracked but volume square; maroon boards have gilt lettering, clear and bright on upper front board clear, but faded on lower section and spine where there is much staining.
