Richard L. Kravitz, MD, is professor and co-vice chair for Research, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis. He is also co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of General Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians.
Richard L. Street, Jr., MD, is professor of communication at Texas A& M University, specializing in health communication. His research focuses on clinician-patient communication, pathways linking communication to improved health outcomes, and strategies for increasing patient involvement in care. He is also professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He has received numerous research and teaching awards including Outstanding Health Communication Scholar.
