Rex Lloyd Forehand, PhD, is the Ansbacher Endowed Professor of Psychological Science and University Distinguished Professor at the University of Vermont. He is an internationally recognized expert on parenting, especially as it relates to the development and treatment of child problem behavior. Through his teaching, research, and writing, Dr. Forehand, a licensed clinical psychologist, has made significant contributions to advance treatment and self-help for parents. He has published over 400 articles, book chapters, and books on these topics and trained generations of researchers and clinicians focused on well-being of children. Dr. Forehand has won numerous awards, including the Award for Distinguished Career Contributions to Education and Training in Psychology from the American Psychological Association.
Deborah J. Jones, PhD, is the Zachary Smith Distinguished Term Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She conducts research to advance the understanding and treatment of children and families with a particular interest in increasing the reach and impact of effective parenting strategies. Dr. Jones has published over 100 research articles and book chapters. She is a licensed clinical psychologist who devotes substantial time to training clinical psychology graduate students in parenting. She also gives workshops for community agencies, professionals, and parents to provide up to date training on effective parenting strategies. Dr. Jones has received numerous awards for her research and training.
Nicholas Long, PhD, is a professor of Pediatrics and the director of Pediatric Psychology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital. He is an expert in the areas of parenting and parent education with numerous research articles, book chapters, and books. A licensed psychologist, Dr. Long has held leadership roles in numerous state and national organizations, and is the founder of the Center for Effective Parenting, which facilitates the dissemination and implementation of knowledge and resources on parenting. Additionally, he is the director of the Arkansas Home Visiting Network's Training Institute, providing training to home visitors throughout Arkansas.
